Have you ever wondered what actually happens inside a skincare factory? How does a jar of cream go from raw ingredients to the finished product on a shelf — and more importantly, how do brands get their own products made, customized to their exact specifications?
We just published a behind-the-scenes video from our production facility. Watch it first, then read on for the answers to the questions our clients ask us most.

In this video you will see our production floor, filling lines, and quality control processes — the same facility that manufactures custom skincare products for brands selling in the EU, US, UK, and Middle East.
The Questions Everyone Asks About Custom Skincare Manufacturing
Here are the most common questions we receive from brands — with direct answers:
1. “How are skincare products made in a factory?”
The production process follows strict GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) protocols:
- Formula preparation — raw ingredients are weighed and verified against the approved formula
- Mixing & homogenization — ingredients are combined under controlled temperature and speed to create a stable emulsion
- Quality testing — pH, viscosity, and appearance are checked against specifications
- Filling — the finished product is dispensed into bottles, jars, or tubes on automated lines
- Packaging — labeling, boxing, and batch coding for full traceability
2. “Can I really create my own skincare products?”
Yes — and you do not need to own a factory, a lab, or any manufacturing equipment. The process works like this:
- You share your concept: target customer, desired product type, key ingredients, budget, and target market
- Our R&D team develops a formula (or adapts an existing one) to match your brief
- You receive samples to test — usually 2-4 revision rounds until you are happy
- Once approved, we produce your batch under GMP conditions
The formula belongs to you. We never sell your product to anyone else.
3. “What is the minimum order quantity?”
Our standard MOQ starts at 3,000 units on select formulas — designed for emerging brands who are testing the market without over-committing. As your brand grows, we scale with you.
4. “How long does custom manufacturing take?”
- Modified existing formula: 4-8 weeks
- Fully custom formula: 8-16 weeks
- Add packaging sourcing + compliance documentation: +2-4 weeks
Planning a launch? Back-calculate from your target launch date and add a 30% buffer. Delays happen less with an experienced manufacturer, but they happen.
5. “How do I know the factory is legitimate?”
This is the most important question — and the one brands regret not asking. Verify:
- ISO 22716 GMP certification — the global standard for cosmetic manufacturing
- Real factory access — live video tours, or visit in person. If they refuse, walk away
- Documented quality systems — COA (Certificate of Analysis), stability reports, microbial testing
- Transparent pricing — itemized quotes, not a single mysterious number
6. “What compliance documents do I get with my order?”
Every Meyyio production order includes the documentation you need to sell legally: full INCI list, Certificate of Analysis, stability test report, GMP batch records — and compliance support for CNF (China), CPNP (EU), and SCPN (UK) filing, free with your production order.
